High Linearity Mixer and Gain Blocks for CATV, Cellular/3G & WiMAX
New Products Serve IF and RF Applications from DC to 4 GHz!

The HMC615LP4(E) is a High IP3 Mixer with Integrated LO Amplifier which is rated from 2.3 to 4.0 GHz, and exhibits +35 dBm input IP3 with only
+4 dBm LO drive. The passive mixer topology is ideal for both upconversion and downconversion applications, and supports IF bandwidths of up to
1 GHz. The HMC615LP4(E)
requires no external baluns or matching components, and is housed in a RoHS compliant 4x4 mm QFN “E” SMT package.
The HMC615LP4(E) shares a common pinout with the HMC215LP4(E), HMC551LP4(E) and the HMC552LP4(E) family of mixers with integrated LO
amplifiers which operate from 0.8 to 4.0 GHz.


Also announced are the HMC580ST89(E) and the HMC589ST89(E) High Linearity Gain blocks. The HMC580ST89(E) is rated from DC to 1.0 GHz,
and provides up to 22 dB of gain, and +37 dBm of output IP3, while the
HMC589ST89(E) is rated from DC to 4.0 GHz, with up to 21 dB of gain, and
+33 dBm of output IP3. These versatile gain blocks feature integrated bias control circuitry which allows operation from a single +5V supply.

The HMC580ST89(E) and the HMC589ST89(E) are fully matched to 50 Ohms making them ideal for use as cascadable gain stages in IF, RF, and
PA pre-driver applications in CATV, Cellular/3G, WiBro, WiMAX, and Fixed Wireless systems. The HMC580ST89(E) and the HMC589ST89(E) are
housed in industry standard and RoHS compliant SOT89 “E” SMT packages, and share a common pinout within Hittite’s broad line of SiGe and
InGaP HBT gain block amplifiers.

Wideband VCO Modules Achieve Low Phase Noise
Three New VCO Modules Cover 4 to 12.5 GHz in Rugged RoHS Compliant Modules

The HMC-C028, HMC-C029 and HMC-C030 Wideband VCO Modules offer output frequency coverage from 4 to 8 GHz, 5 to 10 GHz, and 8 to 12.5 GHz
respectively, and feature an integrated buffer amplifier for increased output power and extremely low frequency pulling characteristics. These robust VCO
modules exhibit SSB phase noise performance as low as -95 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset, and output power as high as +21 dBm. The
HMC-C028,
HMC-C029 and HMC-C030
utilize InGaP GaAs HBT technology, and incorporate the resonator, negative resistance device, and varactor diode in an
integrated oscillator structure.

Internal voltage regulation enables these fully integrated VCO modules to operate from a single supply between +8V and +15V, while consuming less
than 200 mA of current. The single-ended RF outputs are matched to 50 Ohms, while the Vtune ports accept analog tuning voltages from 0 to +13V,
and can accommodate very fast tuning bandwidths. The
HMC-C028, HMC-C029 and HMC-C030 share a common footprint, and are housed in
hermetically sealed RoHS compliant modules which also meet stringent military and space solder material requirements.

Two New SMT MMIC Mixers Cover 6 to 34 GHz!
Ideal for Point-Point/Multipoint Radio, VSAT, Radar & Space Applications!

The HMC144LH5 is a Double-Balanced MMIC Mixer which can be used as an upconverter or downconverter from 6 to 20 GHz and requires no
external components or DC biasing. Housed in a RoHS compliant ceramic hermetic SMT leadless package, the HMC144LH5 features a wide IF
bandwidth of DC to 3 GHz, up to 35 dB of LO/RF isolation and input IP3 of +24 dBm. A highly reliable alternative to hybrid diode mixers, the HMC144LH5
allows the use of surface mount manufacturing techniques and may be upscreened to MIL-PRF-38535 for Class B or Class S applications.


The HMC338LC3B is a compact 24 to 34 GHz Sub-Harmonically Pumped (x2) MMIC Mixer with an integrated LO amplifier housed in a leadless RoHS
compliant ceramic SMT package. The HMC338LC3B features a wide IF bandwidth of DC to 3 GHz, 2LO to RF isolation of 40 dB, and a LO amplifier with a
nominal -5 dBm drive requirement. The RF and LO ports of the HMC338LC3B are DC blocked and matched to 50 Ohms for design convenience, and the
device consumes only 30 mA from a +3V supply.

The HMC144LH5 and the HMC338LC3B complement Hittite’s line of high performance GaAs Double-Balanced and Sub-Harmonic Mixers which provide
broad frequency coverage from 0.6 to 42 GHz.

New Active x2 Multiplier Features High Output Power and Low Phase Noise
SMT Packaged Multiplier is Ideal for Mixer LO Applications from 8 to 22 GHz!

The HMC573LC3B Active x2 Frequency Multiplier is comprised of an input amplifier, a low conversion loss frequency doubler, and an output buffer
amplifier. When driven with a +5 dBm input signal, the HMC573LC3B exhibits high output power of +12 dBm and low single sideband phase noise
of -134 dBc/Hz. This wideband X2 active multiplier accepts an input frequency from 4 to 11 GHz, and provides an output frequency from 8 to 22 GHz,
making it ideal for driving the LO port of many of Hittite’s Double-Balanced Mixers, Image Reject Mixers, and I/Q Receiver products. The HMC573LC3B
operates from single +5V supply, consumes 92 mA, and is housed in a RoHS compliant, 3x3 mm leadless SMT package. The HMC573LC3B shares
a common PCB footprint with Hittite’s broad line of SMT packaged Active X2 multipliers providing output frequency coverage from 8 to 33 GHz.

New Single-Balanced SMT Mixer for Cellular/3G Applications
Low Cost GaAs MMIC Mixer Covers 0.7 to 1.2 GHz!

The HMC277MS8(E) is a Single-Balanced GaAs MMIC Mixer which is rated from 0.7 to 1.2 GHz, and features high LO to RF isolation
and low conversion loss. The passive diode mixer topology requires no DC bias, and no external matching components, making it ideal for
general purpose and Cellular/3G applications. The HMC277MS8(E) exhibits a wide IF bandwidth of DC to 300 MHz, and can be used in both
upconversion and downconversion applications. The HMC277MS8(E) is housed in a RoHS compliant MSOP8 “E” SMT package, and shares a common pinout with Hittite’s extensive line of MSOP8 packaged mixers, including the HMC272MS8(E) Single-Balanced GaAs MMIC Mixer,

Connectorized Double-Balanced Mixer Spans 23 to 27 GHz
Ideal for Military EW/ECM, Radar, Microwave Radio, Space and Test Equipment Applications!

The HMC-C035 is ideal for use as an upconverter or downconverter in military EW/ECM, radar, microwave radio, space and test
equipment applications from 23 to 37 GHz.
The HMC-C035 is a general purpose, double-balanced mixer housed in a miniature, hermetic module. This GaAs MMIC based
double-balanced mixer provides an input IP3 of +19 dBm, 35 dB of LO/RF and LO/IF suppression and typical conversion loss of 9 dB.
HMC-C035 also operates with LO drive levels from +11 to +15 dBm, requires no DC bias, and may also be used a bi-phase
modulator/demodulator or as a phase comparator.
The HMC-C035 complements the previously released HMC-C015 mixer which operates from 23 to 36 GHz and provides 8 GHz of IF
bandwidth. HMC-C035 provides 13 GHz of IF bandwidth to support a broader range of customer applications. Ideal for upscreening to military
specifications, and rated for operation from -55°C to +85°C, the HMC-C035 requires no external components or matching circuitry, and features
removable coaxial connectors which may be detached to facilitate connection of the I/O pins to a microstrip or coplanar circuit.
